Aww, darn!
Somebody posted two VERY LONG topics about Maine Coon cats.
Probably trying to sell them.
And I replied with something about a fellow, interviewed for the FOXFIRE book on do-it-yourself living in the Appalachians.
The banjo building chapter.
He admitted to clubbing cats to death, so as to acquire their skins for banjo heads.
And I advised people to keep a close eye on their cats, Maine coon or otherwise.
I don't know if Ashurbanipal, our cat in the 60's, was Maine Coon. But he weighed 15 pounds.
Brother Greg would stand the cat's back feet on Greg's shoulders, have the cat's tummy resting on Greg's head, and march around singing the Davy Crockett song, the cat's tail hanging down behind, just like on Davy's signature hat.!
Went back, just now, to see what her reaction was, and the posts are gone.
Well, I don't object to them being gone, whether she freaked out, or the Mods slammed the lid on her scheme, if it was determined to be a scheme.
Just curious.

originally wild cats from Maine ?
Domesticated.
