Is there a place to send DXF files and have shell inlays cut and inlay pockets cut?
Almost any online shop will do it. Xometry.com for instance.
Hatfield uses an online shop that specializes in fretboards.
Companion banjos can also.
decent cnc cutters are 200 bucks and laser cutters 500 to 1500. Theres plenty of them out there.
Not sure about the file format(s) they use, but these are the folks who did the proprietary inlay work on my custom Hatfield - they did headstock overlay, fingerboard and heel cap. They were great to work with.
