Greetings banjo world. I recently became the caretaker of a nice Ome 5string banjo. I do not know what model it is. All I have is the serial number of 5737. I reached out to Ome (via Gold Tone) and all they could provide was its manufactured date of “after 2006”. I will attach a few pics for reference. Thanks in advance Ome experts.

Curly maple OME Juniper I believe. Definitely maple....
This is a slightly less ornamented version of the the Sweetgrass.

No problem, enjoy that banjo! I have no experience with the new ones but the pre-gold tone ones (built in Boulder, CO) are special. They had a slogan; "second to none" and that is true. They are wonderful instruments.

Yes, special indeed. I also own two Ode’s. A Style 2 arch top and a Model C. This Ome is just part of that family.
