This is one of the best bluesy banjo licks ever invented. Amen JD! You can move this lick anywhere an F formation chord works.

Randy, without a banjo at hand I was wondering what key/chord this lick is supposed to be played to. Would this be fitting for an A chord?

EDIT: no, with a Bb note on the 4th string (if I got it correctly just from watching the video once) it can't be A.

Hi Phillip. This can be used with any F-position chord. A, C, D, etc. The song is in F, so I'm using the Bb example.
