Maybe... I am a subscriber to the Breakthrough Banjo course... which is one of the courses offered by a company whose name is Brainjo run by Dr. Josh Turknett. Brainjo appears to have other courses including Fiddle and Ukulele.
From what I can tell based on the recent marketing emails I have received, Brainjo the company is currently running a whole course deal where for a set amount -- $499 -- you get lifetime access to all of the content in the Breakthrough Banjo course. As far as I can tell it's the same content that I pay $31 a month for currently. There's a lot in there... breakeven point if you compare it lifetime vs. monthly would happen at about the 16 month mark. Not sure if the "deal" includes the other Brainjo courses.
Hopefully that's helpful.
I have this exact same question and have been trying to figure it out for hours. I did the webinar thing for black friday and asked this in the chat, but it was clearly a replay and hold over from many years ago and no one was monitoring it. This was a big turn off. He's got so many different websites and version of these courses I can't sort it out. I think I'd really dig this style of instruction but the prices are pretty drastically different and I can't tell what's what. I'm emailing them today and will let you know if I get a reply.
I'd better try Hilarie Burhans' Patreon, for 7$ a month you get very good stuff (well, no tabs but you better learn to play by ear imho). I do not like Josh Turknett's tabs : they are sometimes very tricky where you could play the tune in a much simpler way. If you can afford paying 30 dollars a month, then take a live lesson, should you only take one every two months.
