This may have been posted in another thread but Bob Chuckrow passed away. Bob lived in Chattanooga and did a lot of instrument work in the region.

Bob was also a super musician and very knowledgeable about musical instruments. I do not know any particulars but wanted you all to know. I always enjoyed his posts on the Banjo Hangout and I will miss his unique insight.

I've played with him before at Forever Bluegrass and he taught me some chords on guitar. He was a great guy! He will be missed.

A loss to the music and Hangout community.

Bob always had excellent repair and set-up advice, and was an authority on older instruments.

For those that may not recognize his name, Bob's username on BanjoHangout was rc56

A real loss. A consistent Hangout poster, full of great information. I’m stunned.

Sorry to hear.

We didn't talk much, but I bought something from him a few months ago and it was an excellent experience. Really seemed like a great guy, and was very patient about the extra difficulties of shipping to Canada.

I hate to hear that. Bob was a very knowledgeable poster and very generous with his information. It seems like he has been posting quite recently and his passing may have been sudden and unexpected. He will sure be missed.

Rest in Peace Mr Chuckrow.

Here's the title track from an album on which he accompanied Norman Blake on guitar:

I found a Youtube video, "Norman Blake & Saint Elmo Slim - T.A.G RaiIroad Rag"
It's Bob Chuckrow on guitar backing up Norman Blake on mandolin.

Thank you for that. I've been missing him, too.
