Yes this wonderful audio tape has been copied and sent around the big circle of Earl fans for years if not decades. Absolutely fascinating. Earl was so cool to sit for that recording. MAN! Listen to his tone, and how he adjusts it here and there.
I've been extra fascinated by this tape because I had an Uncle and a First Cousin Once Removed who were both Bowdens in the Navy during the 50s and 60s. Uncle Albert "Abe" Bowden, and my dad's first cousin Boyd "Sonny" Bowden. Both from Penobscot Maine. Abe was a Navy lifer, Sonny did his service as required in those days and moved on to telephone company work. As far as the family knew, NEITHER of them was ever called "Turk". I'd sure love to know who "Turk" Bowden was!
This audio demonstrates yet again how you can learn something from Earl on EVERY different hearing.
