Recently purchased 2 air tight, stainless steel canisters on Amazon in which to store flour. They help keep the flour fresher for longer, and eliminate the possibility of intrusions by bugs or rodents.  These are the 3.2 gal size. 12L.  They each hold 2, 5 lb bags of flour plus 3, 1 lb bags.  So I can store 26 lbs of flour.

These are very well made and should last for decades. Replaceable rubber seals in lids. Currently selling for about $50 ea on Amazon.

The all-purpose flour we're about to use is in what looks like a commode in a lower kitchen cupboard, relatively close to a bunch of the baking tools/supplies.   The flour that will be used a bit farther into the future is in the laundry room in the bag(s), usually 10 kg., that it comes in.  Like  Carl ... if it ain't broke we're not inclined to fix it! yes

I keep my flour in what used to be Dave's beer box (refrigerator) which is now my extra fridge for whatever. That keeps the varmints away and keeps the flour usable for quite some time.
