Got one yesterday on the phone, ALLEGEDLY from the Post Office, claiming there's a package for me, but they couldn't confirm my address.
With a 933 number to call to give 'em the info.
That's GLADSTONE, VA area code.
I've gotten an enormous amount of mail at this address, including magazine subscriptions addressed to names I just MADE UP, so that IF the names are sold to junk mailers, I'll know it's junk mail, without opening the envelope.
For someone in VIRGINIA to claim the Post Office THERE is holding a package addressed to me, in Wisconsin, is ridiculous.
Next time I'm IN the post office, I'll show them the text, and ask if it's legit.
Meanwhile, anybody who knows me well enough to send me a package, probably knows to phone me themselves, IF the package comes back as undeliverable.
