In 2010-2011 I played and recorded all 56 tunes in the banjo tab book "Clawhammer Banjo" by Miles Krassen. I posted all the MP3's on the Banjo Hangout (and they are still there). The tunes were carefully played following the tablature exactly as written, with the idea that they could be a learning tool for other banjo players. Over the years since, I have received "thanks" from lots of people who said the recordings were a big help. (This project is not associated with Miles Krassen or the publisher of his book.)

I have just re-released them on Bandcamp in what I hope is a more convenient package, since they can be played from their app. Here's the link for the free album:

That's very generous and kind of you Bob. That just motivated me to pull that book off the shelf again!

Thanks!

Much appreciated!

Thanks! That is some good playing and it should help others on their journey.

Thank You , a great undertaking , I purchased Rabbi Krassen's book many years ago and even shared a few e-mails with him . I think I will dust off my copy again . Miles also plays a very good Fiddle and I think has written four other music books as well as books on Jewish Mysticism , he also has a Phd and teaches , an interesting gentlemen .

Very helpful resource, thanks! The tab book was very helpful when I learned to play in the 70’s, but there was no such resource as yours.

Thanks! This was among my first resources way back when. You provide context - and really fine picking.
