Here's a 7 string banjo by Bromley (Charles?). I can't find much info about him apart from being based in Camden. Interesting that the pot is butt jointed rather than scarf, with a reinforcing plate at the join. Similar to my "Spratt" banjo but somewhat less crude. Also similar parquetry veneer work. This is currently strung as a guitar but I notice that the 6th string would almost clash with the 7th. Could this mean it should originally be a 6 string? Many of these old banjos used 6 guitar tuners for 5 string banjos.
The parquetry is quite nicely done whereas the neck is relatively crude and chunky... different makers?
