I just uploaded a 5-string banjo version of the song “Tears” by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli (Gypsy Jazz purist might be appalled). This is an old European folk song, but I can’t find much about its history. The arrangement is in Am with Am tuning (a E A C E). Django played it in Cm (which I think is the most mournful key); Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler, and many others, play it in Am. The bridge changes to the major key.
Hi Dave,
I love your arrangement. In the first triplet, in measure two, you need to make the 2nd. note of the triplet a triplet also. It evens the triplet out. Put your cursor on the 2nd note of the triplet and you'll see what I mean......great tab and great song....Jack p.s. If you like, I can put some chords in the tab to fill it out even more...
