I really feel sorry for Rocky. I did meet Jimmy Martin once. I think in 1965. Seemed a decent enough guy, though he wouldn’t let the four of us from the student radio station record his show. He also inverted the call letters of our radio station when he read a short promo we had written out. Some years later, looking back on it, I’m sure he was dyslexic. So good for him for fighting through that to become a successful bandleader.
