The largest wildfire amongst several in my state is currently occurring partly in my town.
One firefighter KIA
Hopefully the forecasted rain can help the firefighters get a better handle on things

I'll add my prayers to yours for rain, not only in your state but in mine, too.

Son lives in Illinois and he was complaining yesterday about all the rain they're getting and not being able to get his workers out to work on a project. Wish I could complain about too much rain.

We just got our first real rain of the season—at least a month later than normal. No help to the folks down south in Ventura County, where the Mountain Fire has burned more than 20,000 acres.

Thanks you guys
Wildfires are not a common event here in the lower hudson valley ,catskill mtn and northern new jersey regions.
Weather is usually a mixed bag.
If you don't like the weather here, wait a day.
I'm hoping they get these fires under control ,but no rain until possibly next week
