I really want to learn sugar babe (dock boggs style)

I have the below tab but it’s 3 finger.

Could anyone help convert the 3 finger parts into clawhammer ?

Thankyou

I'm moving your post to the tab forum. Maybe someone there would transpose it from 3 finger to clawhammer for you.

There's a clawhammer tab in the Library based on Dock Boggs' recording. It's in TablEdit which means you may need to get the free TefView software to view and play it.

I will give it a try.  I will (probably) choose fDGCD tuning since Dock's version is in F/Dm. Most of the notes will be exactly as in the three-finger version, with some fifth string notes added, and change some first string notes to fifth string (melody notes should be the same but embellishments notes or fill-out notes may be changed).

Here is a clawhammer version, based on the tab above.

Please, observe that I have changed tuning to fDGCD from gDGCD because f as a drone sounds better than g as a drone.

Craig,
I put a  copy of Sugar Baby in the tab archive if you can use it. Keep in mind that Doc Boggs or any players of that generation played both two/three fingerstyle and mixed it with Clawhammer...Jack Baker

Craig,
You can't go wrong with Jan's tabs. He's easily the best transcriber/tabber on BHO...I learn things from Jan all the time....Jack
