Hello everyone I'm new here and I have been looking for a long time for the tabs for a song called Cumberland River by Daily and Vincent.

I play and sing it, but don't have a tab for it. It's a fairly easy 3 chord song. Hopefully, someone will have it tabbed out and will post it for you.

Ok, it's one of my favorite songs! What is the chord progression?

Chord progression:  CUMBERLAND RIVER

1 1 1 1
4 4 4 1
1 1 1 1
1 1 5 1

Verse and chorus have the same chord progression.

If you want it in G, just make G the #1 chord, C the #4 chord a G the #5 chord
You can do the same for any key you want to play/sing it in.

Maybe this won’t help much, but you can find every one of those phrases in the opening banjo break in the Scruggs book.  I'm swamped with projects or I'd tab it out for you.

Below is a PDF file of a tablature that should be close to what the banjo player played in his kick-off to the song in the Dailey & Vincent YouTube recording.
