This weekend I went in the pumphouse and rummaged around and found the Amaryllis bulbs that I'd taken up last year after they bloomed. Sure enough, there were a couple of little leaves beginning to peak out of the bulbs. Into a pot they went. We'll see what, if anything, we get this year. I had 4, but one bulb just didn't make it at all, so these three are a good starter.
Think I'll price 3 or 4 more bulbs. I do love to watch them grow and bloom. I always put them in pots rather than plant them in the ground so I can bring them in before it freezes. And I'm starting to add a couple or 3 or 4 more each year now.
Anyone else hooked on Amaryllis flowers?
