Interesting find, a Canjo with one string. I wonder if these will go up in value? Lol
these are made and sold in various tourist shops around the country, my kid bought one for $30 form the guy who made it a year or so ago. I dont think these will ever be a collectors item or increase in value, and the one you shared is overpriced to begin with. Not sure sure if youre trolling or serious here.
There is a shop north of me in Franklin that had a music and crafts thing aimed at young kids. They'd help them make their own canjo and taught them the basics of a scale and how to do a couple simple melodies. The cost was $15 or $20 for a two hour thing or so. I thought that was nice and an appropriate use of the idea.

I'm not really serious about it going up in value. I honestly have never seen one made like this before. I just thought it was an interesting topic for banjo players, as they are calling this a "Canjo". I guess I posted it here because I thought it was cool, and figured maybe somebody out their might actually collect these instruments. Not being a troll.
