Wow, a hundred bucks for a Fielding tailpiece! Probably worth it, I have three of them and not for sale. The Goldtone knock-offs aren't nearly as good, especially with those longer pointy hooks. The Balsam Hawktail is pretty good especially for steel strings. However their hooks are a little closer together than Fielding's and do not accommodate the thicker Aquila minstrel stings. I also like the softer curves on the Fielding. I hope someone will take up the design and manufacture of Fielding tailpieces, they are really great for open back banjos. banjered

Well I’m always willing to negotiate but I fear no more quality Fielding tailpieces are gonna come along…my fave old time tailpieces ever!
