I am sure this is not new, but I have been getting at least one new email a day about ..... either one that I owe or one that is owed to me. All look legitimate (at least the email part, as I do not open the "Invoice" attachment) and they are all showing up on my regular mail and not in my spam box. Intil the last month or so I would only get one or two every few months. Happening to anyone else?
Oh, yes. I get on an average of 2 or 3 a day saying my account will be locked or your payment has been declined. After I sent a few to my spam folder, now that's where I find them rather than my mail box.
Do you have a spam filter? If not, you need one. If you do have one, you need to make it more sensitive to spam.

Locally, we are getting fake emails from "Ktag" our or DriveKs.com. Its how you pay for using the turnpike. The email of course looks legit, saying you owe etc. The State of Kansas Turnpike Authority finally issued a warning, that we will never get an email notification from them requesting payments. Brad

Sherry, these are not the kind from say McAfee, Norton, Sirius radio scams, etc. claiming they are going to cut your service or that it has expired, but ones that look legit from an individual that or say a construction company that may have done work for you. Since I am listed as a "golf course" in Google and other search engines, I guess they think I get a lot of invoices and a may have someone handling them that doesn't know one from the other thinking they will pay it.

No, I don't get that kind of spam, although I used to many years ago when I worked for a mobile home dealer. Then it wasn't online, but by snail mail.

Just a new twist on an old trick, I guess.

I get those too.
