I have only ever played one several years ago and, my recollection was that it was not very nice, neck heavy and cold to the touch having a metal neck I think, it also had the strangest tuning pegs I ever saw. certainly nothing ordinary about it.
I have long been fascinated by Merlin banjos. never seen one in person though
Outside of this website, I only saw one. Decades ago. At the time I really didn’t know what to think of it, other than you could play it in the pool.
