My profile photo is me and Ronnie at the parking lot of the Casey Jones Village in Jackson Tennessee. I didn't have my banjo with me as I was on my way to Springfield, TN to pick it up from a luthier shop on the way back to Florida. This was 2010, the same day the rain started that caused the floods in Nashville.
Ronnie was a moderator on BH0. We made arrangements to meet. I kept in touch with him over the years. His health failed him. Ronnie passed away November 6, 2022. One of my first BHO friends. He was a fine banjo picker.

I asked Ronnie how I would recognize him. He said, You'll know." We pulled into the parking lot of Casey Jones Village and saw a guy sitting on the tailgate of his pickup truck, picking a banjo, and wearing a Banjo Hangout T-shirt. I said, "There's Ronnie."

My belated thoughts and prayers to his family.
He only had his daughter Emily. She's married now and surprise! She plays music.
Ronnie was friends with Bobby Thompson. He had Bobby's walking stick. He was proud of that.
I remember Ronnie for our quick fire song game pairing session retorts,
(before the present song game)..
there were brief moments when we two shared lightning fast keyboard responses.
He once wrote "Hey Roxanne! That was fast...
In these fleeting moments I can honestly say I felt a kindred presence, a warm personality.
Sorry so much that I didn't actually ever met him.
God bless.
