I am looking for a radius board Deering Tenbrooks (saratoga star preferably) and have a question about the neck shape. Do these typically have a more pronounced "v" shape to them? I play one that was an older model (maybe 2007-2008 i think) and it had a great feeling "v" shape neck.

If you know anyone that has one for sale, new or older, i am interested. I also would just appreciate any input on folks experience with neck profile on the Tenbrooks line.

Thank you!

I think Deering describes its necks as a "D" shape.

From what I understand the newer ones have a smaller neck shape than the older ones. The 2004 Saratoga star I have and the other early ones also had very chunky V shaped necks while the newer ones are more of a slimmer D shaped neck. I feel the earlier tenbrooks are better than the newer ones.

Thanks for the reply! Any idea when Deering changed over the tenbrooks neck shape?

I’m not sure. It was around the time Jens started playing the gold plated version of his signature model. Around 2008? If you call deering they could probably tell you.
