I recently purchased a very fine Gibson 5-string banjo from an old friend. It has a Granada tailpiece cover, all-gold metal finish, flamed maple neck and resonator back, one-piece flange, characteristically Granada engraving on the metal hand rest and the serial number from the inside of the rim is 93-9002-160 which I believe dates it to 1993. It came in a high quality case with "The Gibson" printed on the top and an attached "blanket" dust cover that lays over the instrument.
Someone told my friend that it is not a true Granada because it appeared to them that it was assembled from "miscellaneous parts laying around the Gibson workshop" in the Greg Rich era. After looking online for all information on Granadas, it seems to me that if it looks, sounds and feels like a duck - it's a duck. Is there something I'm missing here?
No, it does not. But why would someone go to the trouble of making what looks, feels and sounds like a Custom Shop instrument - and forget to put the sticker on it?

A modern Granada would be engraved and gold plated, with HF inlays, one piece flange etc.
I’m thinking you posted the wrong photos. If that’s the banjo you are questioning, it looks to be a typical 70’s / 80’s RB 250. Not a Granada, though you did describe a Granada very well, right down to the original case.
Please post pictures of the actual instrument. Serial number and any labels. Full front. Full back.
Many here will help you.

Full front, full back, inside and out, backwards and forwards. Closeups on the armrest and tension hoop.
I apologize again, I've tried for 2 hours to upload photos of my Granada and I actually was able to finally upload the allotted 3 images but I cannot find how to attach them to the discussion thread. I don't recall it being even close to this convoluted.
I have to say my experience on the site has been very frustrating both yesterday and today. I haven't been on the site for a while so I was not aware of the change in account ID's to email addresses. The journey of switching my account ID to an email address took so long that I was eventually locked out of the site.
I give up.....

Be assured it's not all you! The Hangout's photo upload process is counter-intuitive and seemingly backward. Since you've figured it out, you've seen it's not clear when to hit the upload button and when photos are actually uploaded.
Clarity of interfaces was not one of the strengths of whoever designed the platform the Hangout uses.
Attaching uploaded photos to your Forum messages is, fortunately, a lot easier. Below the message composition window, and below the lower right PREVIEW and POST REPLY buttons, is the Attachments area. If you don't see it, just scroll down. This is where thumbnail links to all your available Attachments (media files you've uploaded) reside. There are tabs for PHOTO, VIDEO, MP3, and PDF, which are the things you can upload -- as well as tabs in various formats; why they're not here, I don't know.
Anyway: To attach photos to a Forum message, simply select the PHOTO tab (which will probably be pre-selected since it's first in line) and click once on each photo you want to attach. I think the last one you click will appear first. To change the order in which they appear, scroll even further down and you'll see a YOUR ATTACHMENTS window that displays the photos you've attached to the current message. Arrows under each let you move the photos left or right. A trash can icon lets you un-attach the photo. It does not delete it from your personal library.
Good luck.
