We have an acoustic jam group that meets every other weekend. The building we used to use in downtown Baton Rouge has been under renovation since November. Last Saturday, we didn't have an indoor spot to play, so a small group of us met at a local park (for indoor jams, we often get 15 - 20 players). It was hot, and I guess news was light that day, so a local reporter showed up and started video-taping us. He asked to interview us, and the group sent me to do the talking. I happened to be wearing one of my BHO T shirts that day. Here's the clip. I'll be in the area in October for the awesome Blackpot Festival in Lafayette. Allison de Groot and Tatiana Hargreaves will be performing.

Lorenzo, I haven't been to that festival before, but I just checked it out and it looks like a lot of fun! They've got many good performers lined up, but Allison and Tatiana will likely be one of the best. I may have to try to make it there!
Blackpot is awesome. I think it started in the 90s as Glen's idea (Glen was the drummer for the Red Stick Ramblers). I started going in the mid-2000s or so. It used to be on the west side of town at the other historical village (Vermillionville?) , but moved to the other one (Acadiana Village?) on the east side near the airport several years ago.
After the competitors in the various cooking competitions (gravy, cracklins, etc.) give their samples to the judges on Saturday they give the rest away for free! Bring a spoon!
