Please, does anyone recognize this banjo. This is a deceased family member whose widow sold the banjo, as she needed funds. Wish she had asked us first, but she was a humble person.

My guess (and it is just that, due to the low photo resolution) is that it's a Majestic/Puntolillo product. Something along these lines:

Thank you for your comments. I will ask if there is a better copy of the photo. And yes, I have had difficulty finding drum head size, head stock design and fingerboard markings that will all line up. So, maybe it was a hybrid, and lost to the world of unknown instruments floating from home to home. Just hoping it’s in the hands of some person who plays it, and not tossed aside by a person who doesn’t appreciate it.

Smakula Instruments might have a banjo head that will fit. I seem to recall he had lots of unusual sized heads available.
