Been there, done that [i.e. also rain/drizzle in beautiful west-central Man-ee-toe-bah today, and I've done one session of TITMTITMing].

When I renovated the SurfSide, on the interior stuff I'd modified I used a 2-part automotive paint and my version of "roll and tip"  https://quaycrew.com/blog/roll-and-tip/ ... fwiw, my experience says to put it on so it's just shy of sagging [kinda like " ... 'til it breaks and then back off 1/4 turn."]  It turned out pretty good, but when I started to wonder (?) about the exterior my daughter advised, "Don't even think it!!"   So I got a body shop to do the exterior ... he did an "okay" job.

Sorry... only a pic of "okay," none of "pretty good."  sad

In the 70's I got popped by the local town cops for driving with no license, no reggie, no insurance and expired inspection. So they knew what the white van looked like for sure. I got a paint roller, some black paint and Viola', a black van that went completely under their radar until I moved away. Paint roller worked fine.
