Has anyone else seen all the recent listings on Ebay for several Gibson and Stelling banjos? It says their (supposed) pawn shop is going out of business. It's interesting that the actual item location is different for each listing. And they have hundreds of items for sale. This screams SCAM to me. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It’s funny, I am following an auction for a fountain pen, and it turns out it is from the same seller (the name looked familiar).

I opened the link on the staghorn he has for sale, but of course it goes nowhere. I wonder if it’s somebody who was hijacked.

Like you say, tons of stuff and a lot of it interesting!

I saw those. I would expect for someone listing that many instruments at once to take all the photos in the same location. The fact that some pictures are banjo warehouse pictures makes it look like the pictures are stolen from other people

Obvious scam. Hack eBay account, bulk load ads - 48000+, provide link to spoof address, collect personal information, email, addresses, and who knows what.

Definitely a hacked eBay account. I reported all the banjos and a few mandolins as fraudulent listings. I think it was about 12 total. The seller's other listings has 48,000 + items. A little suspicious for a small business that has 234 feedbacks.

This is a regular ebay scammer. At some place in the listing, there is usually a statement that it is a "buy now" sale and an email address to get you off of ebay. Critical reading will give the scam away every time.
