I need a neck built for my 1928 stye five that has the same dimensions as my Prucha AB Spirit: compound radius, 24 frets. I have exhausted my contacts. Nobody wants to build it, or at least not without a two year wait. Anybody want to give me call to talk about it? I would also be happy to find a 24 fret radiused neck that would bolt on to the pre war with no modifications so I can use it until I get what I want... If that is even possible. I know the  co-ordinator rods are smaller diameter and lag bolt threads are different thread count than modern Gibsons, so this would have to be considered. I will not permanently modify the style five pot in any way. I may not see a BHO post… you can email jack@hatfieldmusic.com or google my phone number.

The Gold Tone Radiused neck is only 22,but the heel can be bought unfinished for your fitting and maybe someone could "graft" on 23 and 24 and fit the heel.
Gold Tone can fit the heel if they have your pot assembly.

You might want to check with Hunter Lemon.  He is trying to build his business and having you as a client would be a good move for him.  Based on what I've seen online and heard in videos he does nice work.  He's active on the BHO.

Ron Coleman (Earl5 on the forum) built me a neck shortly ago.

He was a treat to work with, turn around was quick and his workmanship very precise.

I'll put a plug in for Hunter Lemon is well. I have a Coleman neck and a Lemon and I'm real pleased with both. You've got options.

I’ve seen Chris Sorenson’s work and his wife does custom inlays. I thought it was impressive. Here a link to Companion Banjos:

Thanks everybody! I am talking to a couple of these prospects plus Bela suggested I get Wayne Rogers to make me a Bela Heart neck (with style 5 inlays, etc. to be as faithful as possible a reproduction) and Wayne says he can. Just working out the details and getting the estimates.

I will second every word you said. I have had my Ron Coleman neck for @ a year and it's beyond amazing. The only thing wrong is that I now do not have an excuse to call Ron up and bug him with talk!! Every conversation with that fellow was just great. I am simply his biggest fan if you couldn't tell.

Might check with Randy White out of Salem, OR, he had a Gold Tone/Bela/Radiused neck for sale for a while on Craigslist. He's on the hangout as well, might still be available...

My sentiments exactly. He turned around the neck so quickly, I felt like I didn't get enough time talking to him and to pick his brain!
