.... again?!?!?  [ZzzhzZZhZZ  ... zzzZzZHzzz .... ZzzZZzz].

My wife and I stopped at a provincial highway rest stop today.  There was no line-up outside either door, but [it turns out] the women's  side was maybe slightly busier.  When I entered the men's room, the lone urinal was in use, both cubicles appeared to be occupied, and there was a kid [I guessed about 10ish years old] at the sink. When the kid turned to use the hand-dryer he appeared to be a she.

In a post I can't locate, several weeks ago (?) somebody forewarned of dire consequences if his wife/daughter was in a washroom should a guy go into that washroom.

In the scenario I encountered ^^ today, what would be my best approach?   a) "Who cares" it?  b) Notify the authorities?  c) Counsel the girl?  d) Threaten the girl?   d) Skip a-d) and go directly to the dire consequences [i.e. punch her out]?  ... or e) .... ? .... or ?   devil

(a) ignore her and go about your business. But that answer is sex specific.  Reverse the sexes and the situation changes, depending upon other factors.

Not sure what dire consequences?

I've always mind my own business when in public restrooms. Do my business, and don't check out others; as they do their business.

I would be concerned of some perv checking out my 10y son, or really any other person no matter gender, orientation, attire... and thinking in sexual terms.

Imo there is some ..alibit not the norm ...
Wiggle room in this situation..

I would probly just let it be..
As in what Bill Roges said..
Given the choice of soiling meself or goin in the ladies room....
Well i might be embareassed if i go in the ladies room..
( to wich i would make a full anouncment ..first..)

But if i soiled meself in public..
I KNOW.. that i would be enbareassed fer sure... :0/

Ontoh...
I could not ever imadgine meself..preventing..any woman in need..the use of a latrine..

As so she not embareass her self.. dew to soiling herself in public..

There is some wiggle room...

Now if i suspected a pervert..stalking a kid..
Nother story........

I have not seen a thing to sway me away from being old school on all of this ''coming out"--I have no desire to go in depth on it here --so any quotes will be ignored--

When this topic came up, years ago, I suggested that the only FAIR way to keep people from using the "wrong" restroom, was to have taxes raised, so that the Government could hire Panty Police or Groin Guards to be posted outside the restrooms.
Every person would be REQUIRED to carry a copy of their birth certificate, to show what their gender was at birth.
The guards would be REQUIRED to peek into the pants of each Restroom Client, to see if the fun bits match the paperwork.

And they'd have to be PAID officers, because nobody in their right mind would VOLUNTEER for such an odd job.

If we're going to be silly about it, why not be extremely silly?

Well, I almost ignored her.  The air dryer didn't run* when she tried to dry her hands, and there was no paper towel dispenser, so I demo "wiped" mine on my overalls and commented, "It's a good thing you're wearing jeans."

* = As it turned out, they were working ... it seems as if she didn't quite get her hands close enuff to activate the switch.

All's well that end's well, I suppose.  wink

When it is your turn, that is.

I imagine a lot of this is a regional thing. 12 years ago I was in a busy department store in Paris. I really did have to go. As I got to the homme's room I saw a janitor cart across the doorway. The cleaning lady stepped out and saw me gazing toward the out of order sign. She immediately smiled and told me to use the other room with a parade of females in and out of that doorway. My traditional Canadian upbringing said ' no way!'.. The other thing I couldn't warm up to was the outside urinals on every park and sidewalk. All of a sudden the legislators are shocked when people are feeling a bit violated. As for beating up some guy in a dress the judge would probably not give you much leniency .

I was at the Kentucky Derby a number of years ago in the infield when suddenly the gals invaded our restroom. The wait line for the ladies' facility was so long, they had enough and just came into the men's. The men, for the most part, just thought it was amusing ...... and it was!

Are you suggesting that men can ignore a small girl in the wash room without attacking her? Lies!

It's such a peculiar thing for folks to be told to care about. The same folks that are scared of "men" in the ladies room would also clutch their pearls if they saw this biological born woman go into the ladies room. It's a bathroom, the worst thing that's happening in there is the smell.

This country boy had quite a revelation in Japanese toilet education during one of my early trips there for my employer . My first encounter w/ the "washlet" type toilet was something I'll not forget as I must have spent a half an hour on it playing w/ the buttons .

tankenjapan.com/japans-public-...-toilets/

It was quite a pleasant experience verses the stop at a roadside rest stop getting bussed from Narita airport to Gunma . At the rest stop u had to openly straddle a public trench for a pee or , sit in a 2 sided cubicle for #2 . Pretty crude w/ no privacy !

Sounds like the other room was full-up.
What should she do...go outside and get arrested?
Also at the age of 10ish maybe it was a boy with a pretty face.

A woman in the men's room is regarded as either humorous or an annoyance by men. A man in the ladies room is regarded, rightly, as a threat. And too often that threat has been real, and a sexual assault was facilitated by official idiots allowing males into private female spaces.

You are correct in one area, men are the problem. Hence why women choose the bear. Trans women on the other hand, are significantly less prone to these things than men are and are significantly more likely to be the victims of sexual assault.

I am also correct in that females have been assaulted in restrooms by males who were there with official permission despite the protests of the females. From restrooms to dorm rooms to prison cells, females are being victimized by males calling themselves female, and this is being allowed by authorities whose interest in the safety of the females is miniscule compared to their concern for being in with the In Tribe about theses insistent "trans" males who are either clearly mentally and emotionally disturbed individuals and should be treated as such, or they are simply cons playing the fools and getting away with anything and everything.
Ironic that Women activists began the societal changes that have led to the very delegitimization of women.

Are there reliable stats [i.e. beyond anecdotal reports] that show that the rates of females being victimized in rest rooms / dorm rooms / prison cells by males calling themselves females are greater  than the rates in "other" places?  Is the rate of assaults by males calling themselves female greater than the rate of assaults by males calling themselves male?
