HI! I'm a young jazz tenor banjo player and i recently decided to switch to Bb F C G tuning on my Vegaphone 1925 Tenor Banjo ( instead of CGDA
Should i also change strings with this tuning? I usually put on some D'addario tenor banjo strings
Any Advices?

also looking for an original vegaphone tail piece if anyone knows how to get one

It depends somewhat on your banjo's scale length and setup, but more on your individual preferences. Your usual strings may work perfectly for you tuned down. If you get fret buzz or rattle at the lower pitch, try a slightly heavier set-- (or, a bridge that's a mm or two taller..?).

Strings aren't expensive, and are easy to change, so experiment!
