Is anyone watching this mini series? Some question and observations have arisen while watching. A bit of history.
My good friend from Texas younger brother was a deputy sheriff at the time and he was tasked with driving to locations of debris with Mark Kelly.

I have always felt bad for Robert Ebeling. He knew it was going to happen, told them it was going to happen, and they just let it happen. He carried the guilt of failing to stop that launch his entire life.

I'm not sure people understand how large those spacecraft were.  The Columbia was only slightly smaller than the Discovery, which is on display at the Air & Space Museum next to Dulles in Washington.  I was there today and stunned at the size of Discovery.  The destruction of Columbia was indeed a very sad day for all Americans.

If you had watched and maybe you did, this documentary mini series opened my eyes to the failure of the ones who knew and were to afraid of loosing their jobs. They even said so while being interviewed. Don’t question the directors all communication has to go up the chain of command. The same thing happened with Challenger. Engineers did not recommend launching in below freezing weather. But the Directors overruled.
All about appearances and egos. My observations are this if this is how NASA operates with intimidation and threats and on a need to know basis. How easy would it have been to keep a conspiracy in house if only a handful knew about the conspiracy and any objection among the rank and file was met with intimidation and threat?

I saw the doc.   Sad to know this tragedy could have been prevented.

I'm watching an OJ doc now.  Wow did that guy have quite a life.  But hard to believe he got off on the murder charges because of a glove....when there was much more damning evidence that directly linked him to the scene.
