Hi all, I'm looking to get a good case for my old Puntolillo tenor banjo (I've posted about this banjo before). The head is 12" in diameter (plus a little extra for hardware), no resonator, and the length is about 31" (17 fret).

The open back tenor cases I have found seem to be too small (intended for 11" heads) but the resonator ones are huge! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check on Ebay. there is one there right now/ Also Gold tone have a number of different sizes for tenor. If you are outside the USA, shipping is quite expensive.

As Wayne has mentioned, where you are located is important to know. Specialty cases are not cheap and shipping can be quite expensive as well.

Located in the US (New Mexico). I checked Gold Tone's cases and found cases that were too small, intended for 11" rims, or resonators which would have a LOT of wiggle room. Same on eBay. Ill check again though. I may end up having to modify or go custom.
Thanks!
