Archived Topics in The Banjo Hangout can be misleading

I've seen several archived topics that are misleading, but one of them is out and out wrong.
The Late Okie Adams Jr. used one of the Banjo-Tam models I made and designed, at the Topanga Folk Festival,
that particular model did not have jingles but was our design. Okie won awards using that banjo. Later on, we were requested to provide our banjos as prizes, in honor of Okie. One of the threads says that we did not make the banjo that Okie used. That is out and out incorrect and Okie, were he alive, would be upset. I cannot correct the thread as it is "archived." I have seen several threads on other subjects that have been "archived," and are incapable of being corrected. Not sure why this site archives threads? It certainly is not helpful.

I have found the archives to be very useful. I search for mostly playing advice, setup and tab advice, info on banjo models. Factoids should be taken with a grain of salt anywhere on the web.

Lots of water has passed under the bridge since those days, Frank. Are you the same Frank Abrams that sold me that Don Musser Dreadnought guitar?

No, Never owned a Don Musser Guitar, or heard of one. Are they any good?
