That's got scam written all over it. Gibson did not make a Mastertone in 1950.

Seems more like a misinformed seller than a scam. Seller has good ratings. Pictures don’t look fake. Of course the banjo could be.

Hats off to moderator Bill Rogers for untangling my mistake. The banjo sold on ebay. The buyer Had 3 transactions to his credit. He will be in for a surprise when delivered. It was a PB instead of a TB as advertised. Gibson never made a 2 piece flange flathead in year mentioned. Pictures and description should have been enough to pass on this instrument. Buyers learn by their mistakes. He bought a Plectrum Neck and 5 string Case. Not all is lost,,,I was looking at the possibility of bidding until I looked very close at the pictures. Took it off my want list,,,,
