Word has it that it's going to happen:

What would you like to see in a new reincarnation of the venerable magazine?

I would like to see it pattern itself as it used to be. There was always information for almost all genres. I enjoyed the interviews with various pickers. A lot of people looked forward working on the tabs that were always posted each month.

Having said that, I will be glad to just see it resurrected and viable again. I've missed receiving that magazine every month. I almost always sat down and read anything that was of interest to me and perused other articles as well.

When did they stop publishing?

They stopped after Spencer Nitchie, who ran the business side of things, died in 2021.

More along the line of Tom Adam's High Five, and articles similar to what Janet Davis used to provide. Along with the the other regular contributors talking about music theory, banjo technique and tabs.
