This movie was made in 1960, and predicts, as accurately as they could, what 2024 holds in store

Here's the whole movie: https://youtu.be/ZgcU--mWYw8

And here's the brief trailer:

So, besides the NYC subways, what else did they get right?

I have this notion that they weren't trying to make accurate predictions but to make a low budget sci-fi B movie.

Turns out that the star of the movie wrote an autobiography, titled
"To B or not to B "!

Not quite what I was expecting. I think imho the movie The Time Machine by H.G.Wells will probably be more of what the future holds. Hope I’m wrong but with the messing around with DNA may turn around and bite mankind in the arse.

We have already taken three steps into 2024 will it be much different from events already happening, some will say so, I would agree, fire wind and water threaten everyone by way of climate change.
Artificial Intelligence, I have a question if AI's are fed data, say all modern medical knowledge and evidently their 'brains' are able to discover entirely new concept, when in the first place it was human brains who fed the AI?
I know you would say because in reality AI are computers? But I for one don't see any logical explanation.
As well, humans are accordingly computer literate, made by 'who knows' I find the. whole thing computation very odd.

At the turn of the century year 1900 I recall reading predictions for years ahead forgotten what was listed, I think one was cell phones was along with something very wrong.

Be HAPPY that there are no flying cars!

Pause and contemplate how many people are doing a LOUSY job of handling land-based cars, with only left, right, forward, and back, without LOOKING, without SIGNALING.

Do you REALLY want them to be able to ALSO be able to go up and down, at various angles?

Yes, I'm sure they will be made of anti crash/alternating polarity magnets or bumper car material. Now give me my flying car!!!

We have the ability to build the future as we want it.
The trouble is in knowing what we want.

I assume self flying cars would be self driving which, when done correctly, would eliminate the vast majority of human error. That said, watching physcistists talk about flying cars makes it feel way far away. Much more likely to all have personal helocopter style vehicles.

The world of 2024 will be much like the world of 1924 or 1824.
People trying to work hard enough to get the job done and expecting the same from THEIR leaders.

Like Rogers (not ROY) and Hammerstein wrote as song lyrics for one of the numbers in "SOUTH PACIFIC"

You've got to be taught, from year to year, it's got to be drummed in your poor little ear....
You've got to be taught, before it's too late! Before you are six, or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate!
You've got to be carefully taught..
