Lots of acrimony going around these days. We need to remind ourselves what's truly important in life and focus on those things.

I was reminded of this tune from band practice 8 years ago, a haunting and beautiful tune recorded by Crystal Gayle.

Today seemed like a good day ... I dunno, for no particular reason ... to throw this video together and put it out there.

Amen, brothers and sisters.

Cool, I've learned more about this tune yesterday when I put the video together when I was researching who wrote and recorded it, than I ever knew about it before. I had never heard this tune until Dickie Brown showed it to me at band practice, the audio that's captured here from 8 years ago. I edited that audio track you hear out of about 6 minutes of recorded practice where they were teaching me the tune. It's a very cool and unexpected chord progression, you don't hear those twists and turns often and adds to the haunting quality of the tune, for me, anyway.
