There is no signature. I think he is English

Very nice English banjo. I'm pretty certain it was made by T. Bostock. Original case is way cool. Looks in remarkable condition. The cloth protector is an interesting piece.

The tailpiece has been changed maybe the original was damaged. Steel strings may have been the culprits and may also have damaged the original tuners. If it was my banjo I would change to nylon strings which would be more appropriate. Bostock made good quality banjos.
