I have 2 Paige Capos. On both of them, the pad has dried up and broken off. I got in touch with Paige asking about getting replacements or if could they recommend a size of the plastic tube I could use. I've asked a few times on FB and X with identical results... TOTAL SILENCE. Given that is their attitude and I don't fit Einstein's definition of insane, I won't bother posting anymore, but I'll sure as hell never again get anything with the name Paige on it. I think I added the photo to this ...

Boog.

You could've just gone to the Paige website :

https://paigecapo.com/shop/

Facebook and X/Twitter probably aren't the ideal locations for conducting business (I may be wrong since I use neither of them)

If you set up your business on FB or X it's your responsibility to man those sites and answer customer questions. That's pretty normal. I did check out their website but didn't find anything. Had they cared they could have sent me that link instead of leaving a customer hanging.

I'd be inclined to go to my local hardware store (tubing) or auto parts store (fuel hose?) to see what I could find. Get several lifetimes of hose for what it would cost to buy an "official" replacement part + shipping.

Yup, that's what I'll do.

That's what I did with my old Paige.  I don't know the size of the tubing, but there are some that will fit.

"I did check out their website but didn't find anything."

Only two clicks away from success:

1.  Go to  Paigecapo.com.

2.   Click "Shop".  It will get you here:  https://paigecapo.com/shop/

The very first picture is what you're looking for, "universal replacement sleeves."

Hope this helps.

I bought a couple of the replacement sleeves from Elderly, but could not seem to get them on. Plastic tubing from the local hardware store went on in seconds a works fine. I have used them on guitars for years, but used Shubbs on my banjos. I recently got a couple Paige banjo capos and they are my current favorite.
