Two legendary bluegrass performers talk and play banjos & bluegrass. This took place in 2014 at The Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Stony Plain, Alberta. Herb was with the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band and Kenny was with Larry Stephenson.

Chuck,
thanks for posting that. It was a real treat to watch that this morning. The Big K was a hero to me and I miss him. Great double banjo wasn't there and to think the famous metal piece across Earl's peghead came from Louise's cleaner.
Thanks buddy. Good stuff.

Chuck, I wish I had been there. The Lester FLatt and Earl Scruggs questions I would have put on Kenny. And tons more questions.

I was there, and I look forward to watching the video. I recall Kenny talking about how digital technology lets us more accurately hear what Earl was doing, as opposed to the guesswork engaged in by those of us who started playing in earlier times, such as the 1960s. He may have cited Earl’s damping the 5th string in the B part of Cripple Creek, which becomes evident when one uses slowdown software. Who knew? (Obviously Kenny did).

Thanks for posting it, Chuck.
