Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have a question.
I've got a banjo sold to a gentleman overseas, I've emailed back and forth for two weeks, it's not a scam. He suggests using escrow as payment method but I'm unfamiliar with it. Has anyone accepted payment this way, and if so how does it work? What will I need to do on my end? Thanks

I assume you mean escrow.com; they have some details here: escrow.com/what-is-escrow, but I've never used it.

But what I really wanted to mention is that if you haven't yet, do check on required importation duties to be paid at customs; depending on the details in the country you will be sending it to, they can cause delivery hangups (such as a box held at customs for weeks and weeks) - I don't have any experience with instruments...

(though I know that US importation duties vary by country and instrument - FYI bagpipes are free ;)

...but I had trouble sending a painting to a friend in Italy.
