How difficult would it be to find a late 20s style 6 armrest for sale? Are there any out there that need a home? How much would that go for do you think?

I wanted to replace the mute style armrest on my Style 6 and did. I didn't even consider trying to find an original "no mute" version because of availability and price IF one could be located. I figure that IF an original could be found that it would be $1000.00 or more. I contacted Greg Rich and he engraved and plated a new one for me. It turned out incredibly! The only downfall to having this done is the height of the armrest itself. It seems all new ones are designed around OPF banjos and are taller than TPF versions. When installed mine sticks up higher than I like, maybe as much as a 1/4 inch over the top of the hoop. I prefer my armrests to lay flat on top of the hoop so as to not add thickness to the pot assembly and change the angle of my arm while playing. I realize this is a long answer to a simple question, but, I wanted to let you know about the difference. Robby

Thanks Robby. Yes I imagine I would pay at least 1k for one if it were available. It’s a long shot but I am looking. This 6 has an armrest that matches it pretty well already so it’s mainly for resale if I ever decided to sell it someday.
