Very nice Guy. French Canadian tunes are popular with New Hampshire dance fiddlers. I recently learned Maple Sugar, Crooked Stovepipe, Joys of Quebec, Gaspee Reel and La Bastrangue. I love the energy of the Quebec fiddle tunes.

Crooked Stovepie and Maple Sugar are from Ontario.

Yes, I should have remembered that Maple Sugar was written by Ontario fiddler Ward Allen. Crooked Stovepipe is popular with NH fiddlers and I made a wrong assumption. It has a similar bounce that I notice in the few Quebec tunes I have learned.

Thanks Bill, glad you enjoyed these tunes, Sometimes it's hard to keep track of the origins of the tunes, I'm really not an expert at that...I know that many Quebec bands are really popular in the U.S. folk community.
