I have seen vintage "banjo clocks" before, but this is quite different.

Will it sell? Time will tell.

You have to tune it AND wind it twice a day.

Whew! I contacted the seller and he confirmed that the rim was not cut!

This begs the question, is the seller a outright liar or did they get ripped off by the person selling them this "custom made" banjo?

I know that when I think of quality made banjos the first name that comes to mind is Maya.

If one wants a clock which LOOKS LIKE a banjo, just get a round-bodied clock, and mount a fake neck on the wall above it.
Not going to cost anywhere near that much.

If one wants a banjo which LOOKS like a clock, simply replace the head with a clear head, reverse-painted with clock numerals.
OR, just use a permanent marker to put numbers on the existing head.

It is pretty obvious that there was some sort of application/printing/image put on or behind the head only on this banjo. Someone should request photos of the inside.

If this was a player rather than a wall-hanger where would you want the 12 to be ?

The 2 would be at the neck so the 12 would be directly vertical when the banjo is played. That's about right for the angle I hold it.

Loving the time related puns and jokes ;-)

if im correct and this is the same company that made ilda, the marketed custom banjos, im not sure if they actually took custom orders or not but I would guess some music store oversold it. its probably like a high end ilda, a good banjo. and its currently priced right.

The time shown is 12:04. Wondered first if that has any meaning, then...

What times might have banjo-related meaning?
Hmm... 4:40
4:30
4:20

?

This is my thread so not apologising for the topic drift, but just going to say:
We walked him to the station in the rain
We kissed him as we put him on the train
And we sang him a song of times long gone
Though we knew that we'd be seeing him again
