I have a customer in Baton Rouge, LA that needs a geared 5th tuner installed in their 40 year old Washburn banjo.
Anyone out there that can give us a hand? There are no luthiers listed in the banjo hangout luthier search for the state of Louisiana. Looks like a solid business opportunity for someone that can use a bracket wrench and 5th peg reamer.
Brian Sims is from around that area and might could help. There are just so few banjo people in Louisiana.
There is a shortage in Titusville Florida too. Gold Tone is hiring.
I would give Tim Lawson a call at Tim’s Guitar Workshop in Baton Rouge. I don’t know if he works on Banjo’s but he is a great Luthier. Good luck with the fix.
I do such things but I’m in New Orleans…
