A week or so ago, a member placed a classified ad for a LeVan openback banjo ( I think the seller may have been from Oregon.). When I decided to follow-up with the seller, the ad had disappeared and I could not find it in the "solds". If anyone out there knows the person who placed the ad, would you please PM me with the contact information or have the person contact me so I can find out if they are still interested in selling the banjo. Thanks.
Click on Marketplace on the left side of the main page. A screen comes up with a list to the right (5 string openback, 5 string resonator, etc). Scroll down you will start to see a list of banjos by brand. Go to the bottom and click on Show More Makers. Scroll down and you will find LeVan in the list.
Thanks to you all for your help. I have always assumed that a seller has the option of declaring an item as "sold" or simply de-activating the ad in one way or another. In my limited experience, it is not oncommon for items to be withdrawn prior to an actual sale for any number of reasons. In this case I was distracted by other "stuff" and would simply like to know if the seller might still be interested in parting with the LeVan. The LeVan that is currently advertised is not the one that I am interested in. Thanks again.
Yes, I remember that recent banjo listing because I also looked into it.
The seller was Charlie Watters from "Westbound CIty Train" in Portland. Here's a video (though not the sample video I recall from the BHO listing):

Hopefully there's a few leads you can chase down to contact the seller.
