Some guitar picker - I think it was Stefan Grossman - years ago wrote that maybe it’s not a good idea to put every tune into the alternating thumb fingerpicking format. So, at the risk of treading on hallowed ground, here’s the Canadian National Anthem.

We used to hoist the Union Jack up the flagpole in elementary school,, but durned if'n I can remember the English national anthem... I'll look it up,, then on to the Dutch anthem. By 2058 I should be fingerpicking the United Nations...
Ed. Oh yeah,, it's God Save The Queen , "King" now I guess. We used to sing it in grade school ,, before we officially adopted "O Canada".
