I can't help it, I just have to post how beautifully crafted this strap is.
I asked Tom Bennett of Tab Custom Leather and Blades to craft me a 54" strap with the sewn ends option. I gave him artistic license to incorporate maple leaves to remind me of the fall in Northern Ontario around Algonquin park, pine to remind me of the large pine that survived the great fire around Lake St. Peter Ontario, and two hawk feathers. I wanted one larger than the other. Haskel McCormick my banjo mentor was nicknamed Hack(saw) and also Hawk, so the little feather is for me 'Mini-Hawk'.
One day I'll do that justice, but for now I have this. These are suede lined, specially tooled/crafted, and each one can be as unique as you can imagine. I don't think there's much too tough for Tom. He's also a Marine, which I entirely support and appreciate! Thought I'd share some pics of the strap, though I have not yet fit it due to hiding it from Haskel for another reason. ...and yeah waiting is really hard to do. I'll share that reason at a later date.
For now, here's the pics, hope you enjoy them! TABCustoms Heirloom quality and then some!
