Hey! I found this banjo listed on a second hand site, which is pretty rare here in Sweden. I think it looks pretty neat. Does anyone recognize the model or who made it? (See photos attached) The seller don’t know but the ad says it’s from the 60’s. I have not bought the banjo yet, so these are the only pictures I have access to.. Thanks!

You need to remove the resonator and show photos of the inside of the pot.

Instrument photo tip: Take the instrument out of the case before taking pictures. Cases create shadows that hide important details.

From the pictures I will venture an educated guess that it was made in East Germany. The zero fret and the stamped sheet metal parts are often found on those banjos. As far as vintage is concerned, 1960's, maybe early 1970's.

I concur with Mark. It certainly has a Germanic feel to it although I have not seen any that look like that.
